“…There Is One More Man…”

“The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord, but I hate him, because he never prophesies good news for me, but only evil.” But Jehoshaphat said, “May the king not say that [Micaiah only tells bad news].” 1 Kings 22:8 (AMP)

Today we continue in the book of First Kings, the Lord ministers about leadership, alliances, war, and a deceiving spirit. This often times can be labeled, as what I call spiritual puppet masters, so today the Lord leads us in His word about Micaiah the son of Imlah, the only prophet to tell the King the truth, the scripture says, The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord, but I hate him, because he never prophesies good news for me, but only evil.” But Jehoshaphat said, “May the king not say that [Micaiah only tells bad news].”

Today as we take a moment in our prayers, let’s be reminded to look for that one more man, the man anointed to tell the King the truth. Today the scripture reminds us to be cautious about a deceiving spirit, so in other words be cautious in following the crowd, be cautious in following what’s popular, look earnestly for the truth, and look earnestly because there is one more man!
