“…He Did Right In The Sight Of The Lord…”
“He did right in the sight of the Lord, in accordance with all that his father Amaziah had done.” 2 Kings 15:3 (AMP)
Today the Lord leads us into what the scripture calls a series of Kings and we encounter King Azariah, the Bible says that he was sixteen years old when he became king and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. In our verse we find that he did good, the scripture says He did right in the sight of the Lord, in accordance with all that his father Amaziah had done.
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, we all are called, encouraged, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. This is where we encounter King Azariah who was only sixteen years old when he became King and he reigned for fifty-two years, I believe we all want to have a lasting reign in our lives and in our walk and relationship with the Lord, King Azariah reminds us today to live to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. The scripture doesn’t say he thought of doing right, today let’s be encouraged to allow the Holy Spirit to empower us, enrich us, and strengthen us to do as God’s word says, He did right in the sight of the Lord!
