“…I Will Also Stretch Out My Hand…”
“I will also stretch out My hand [in judgment] against Judah And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will cut off and destroy the remnant of Baal from this place, And the names and remembrance of the idolatrous priests along with the [false] priests,” Zephaniah 1:4 AMP
Today we move into the prophetic book of Zephaniah, the commentary reminds that the Prophet Zephaniah is ninth in the literary lineup of the twelve minor prophets in our Old Testament scriptures. Today the Lord reminds us of His power, wrath, and judgment against all evil and the wicked, our verse says, “I will also stretch out My hand [in judgment] against Judah And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will cut off and destroy the remnant of Baal from this place, And the names and remembrance of the idolatrous priests along with the [false] priests,”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, our God is a just, holy, and righteous God, the scripture tells us He is a jealous God and here today in the prophetic book of Zephaniah He declares divine justice against all evil and the wicked, our verse declares, I will also stretch out My hand!
