“…But You Will Receive Power…”
”But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 AMP
Today as we enter the book of Acts, the commentary reminds us that it is designed to give an accurate account of the birth and growth of the Christian Church. We know the four walls of the church, and also that we are the Church, our body is the temple of God, 1 Cor 6:19. Today the book of Acts reminds us as it declares, ”But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”
Today as we take a moment in prayer, let us be about our Father’s business, God has given us the precious gift of the Holy Spirit, not to just feel good, but to be used of God to reach others for Christ, today the Lord declares, but you will receive power!
