“…Elijah Answered Them…”
“Elijah answered them, “If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty [fighting men].” And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.” 2 Kings 1:12 (AMP)
Today as we start in the book of 2 Kings we learn about King Ahaziah and his captains of fifty, we learn about the power of God and the Prophet Elijah, the scripture says, “Elijah answered them, “If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty [fighting men].” And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, we are reminded that we serve a mighty God, we are reminded that our God will send a fire from heaven to consume our enemies, the scripture declares, Elijah answered them!
