“…I am Deeply Tanned But Lovely…”
“I am deeply tanned but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, [I am dark] like the tents of [the Bedouins of] Kedar, Like the [beautiful] curtains of Solomon.” Song of Solomon 1:5 (AMP)
Today we start in the book Song of Solomon. It helps to teach about love, it helps to teach about the expression of love, it helps to teach allegorically about God’s covenantal love and devotion to Israel, and Christ’s love for His Church, the individual soul, as God’s word shares, “I am deeply tanned but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, [I am dark] like the tents of [the Bedouins of] Kedar, Like the [beautiful] curtains of Solomon.”
Today as we take a moment in prayer, we come to experience the expression of God’s love allegorically for His people and Christ for the Church, as God’s word declares, I am deeply tanned but lovely!
