“…And When Asa Heard These Words…”
“And when Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the repulsive idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. Then he restored the altar [of burnt offering] of the Lord which was in front of the porch [of the temple] of the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 15:8 (AMP)
Today as we continue in the book of 2 Chronicles we learn about King Asa, Asa’s heart was blameless in his early days, this is where we meet King Asa, as God’s word share, “And when Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the repulsive idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. Then he restored the altar [of burnt offering] of the Lord which was in front of the porch [of the temple] of the Lord.”
Today as we take a moment in prayer, may we forever be enabled to hear God’s word, may we forever be enabled to take courage and restore the altar of God. Today we are reminded to hear, today we are reminded to restore God on the altar of our hearts, as God’s word declare, And when Asa heard these words!
“Now, brothers and sisters, we want to tell you about the grace of God which has been evident in the churches of Macedonia [awakening in them a longing to contribute];” 2 Corinthians 8:1 (AMP)
