“…The Lord Is Good…”
“The Lord is good, A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7 (Amp)
In this verse Nahum a minor prophet shares about the goodness of God. Even though he carries the burden of Nineveh’s sin, he still reminds God’s people as it says in scripture, The Lord is good, A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him.
Today in our prayers, let’s pray for God to continue to reveal His goodness, let’s pray He continues to show His strength and Himself as a stronghold in the day of trouble. Let’s pray for those in trouble to experience and fully understand that God knows, recognizes, cares for, and understand fully those who take refuge and trust in Him!
Let our petition be for God to forever show us, as the prophet Nahum declares, The Lord is Good!
