“…Inquire, Please, Of Past Generations…”
“Inquire, please, of past generations, And consider and apply yourself to the things searched out by their fathers.” Job 8:8 (AMP)
Today we continue in the book of Job and we meet Bildad, one of Job’s three friends who visits him during his affliction, severe lost, and suffering. Bildad according to scripture tells Job to inquire of past generations for counsel, the scripture says, “Inquire, please, of past generations, And consider and apply yourself to the things searched out by their fathers.
Today as we take a moment in prayer, we come to inquire of past generations, we come to glean and benefit from the wisdom of old, we come to consider and apply the things searched out from the wisdom of our fathers, so that our lives and our decisions please God. Bildad who is aware of Job’s lost, affliction, and suffering encourages Job to inquire, please, of past generations.
Let us also inquire of past generations, Let us also continue to consider and apply the things searched out, because we continue to be encouraged to inquire, please, of past generations!
