“…Then I Proclaimed A Fast…”
“Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river Ahava, so that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from Him a safe journey for us, our children, and all our possessions.” Ezra 8:21 (AMP)
Today as we continue in the book of Ezra we come to experience the hand of God on and with Ezra, as he is used of God to lead the second wave of God’s people back to Jerusalem after the exile in Babylon, the scripture shares, “Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river Ahava, so that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from Him a safe journey for us, our children, and all our possessions.”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, let us be mindful to humble ourselves and always seek God for a safe journey, for ourselves, for our children and our possessions, as God’s word declare, “Then I proclaimed a fast!
