“..My Heart Cries Out For Moab…”
“My heart cries out for Moab; His fugitives are [fleeing] as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the ascent of Luhith weeping; For on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of distress over their destruction.” Isaiah 15:5 AMP
Today, as we continue through the book of Isaiah, we learn about the dire conditions of Moab and hear Isaiah’s grief over their destruction. Scripture shares, “My heart cries out for Moab; His fugitives are [fleeing] as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the ascent of Luhith weeping; For on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of distress over their destruction.”
As we take a moment to pray today, may our hearts never grow cold toward our enemies. May we remain compassionate toward the hardship and distress of others, just as God’s Word declares: “My heart cries out for Moab!”
