“..My Heart Cries Out For Moab…”

“My heart cries out for Moab; His fugitives are [fleeing] as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the ascent of Luhith weeping; For on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of distress over their destruction.” Isaiah‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Today, as we continue through the book of Isaiah, we learn about the dire conditions of Moab and hear Isaiah’s grief over their destruction. Scripture shares, “My heart cries out for Moab; His fugitives are [fleeing] as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the ascent of Luhith weeping; For on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of distress over their destruction.”

As we take a moment to pray today, may our hearts never grow cold toward our enemies. May we remain compassionate toward the hardship and distress of others, just as God’s Word declares: “My heart cries out for Moab!”
