The Neighbor Woman Gave Him A Name…
The neighbor women gave him a name, saying, “A son (grandson) has been born to Naomi.” They named him Obed (worshiper). He is the father of Jesse, the father of David [the ancestor of Jesus Christ]. Ruth 4:17 (Amp)
Here in this short but amazing book we learn about a woman who lost her husband, left her country, clung to her mother-in-law, gleaned in the barley fields, married a near kinsman redeemer, and gave birth to Obed (worshiper) whom the scripture calls the ancestor of Jesus Christ!
Today let’s take a Moment, let’s reflect in prayer on our scriptural ancestral lineage through Worship!
Let’s reflect on our Obed, that which God chose us to bring forth in the Spirit through Worship, let’s pray for the Lord to use us on His behalf to bring about an ancestral lineage for God’s Kingdom!
