…Let Not Man Prevail Against You…
“Asa called out to the Lord his God, saying, “O Lord, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and the weak; so help us, O Lord our God, for we trust in and rely on You, and in Your name we have come against this multitude. O Lord , You are our God; let not man prevail against You.”
2 Chronicles 14:11 (Amp)
In today’s verse we find the King of Israel petitioning God for help in battle against a multitude, The powerful against the weak. In this verse the end seems clear, the multitude overtakes the small in number, the powerful overtakes the weak. But in this instance, the obvious is not so, God intervenes and responds, He answers King Asa’s prayer!
Today’s let’s take a moment in prayer, let’s take some time to pray, just as King Asa, so that the multitude does not overtake us, so that the powerful does not overtake the weak, let’s cry out to God in our prayers today and petition Him, just as scripture reads, let not man prevail against You.”
