…But On Mount Zion There Shall Be Deliverance…
“But on Mount Zion [in Jerusalem] there shall be [deliverance for] those who escape, And it shall be holy [no pagan will defile it]; And the house of Jacob shall possess their [former] possessions.”
Obadiah 1:17 (Amp)
In today’s book of scriptures, we find Obadiah a minor prophet, declaring the will of the Lord, scripture says, “But on Mount Zion [in Jerusalem] there shall be [deliverance for] those who escape, And it shall be holy [no pagan will defile it]; And the house of Jacob shall possess their [former] possessions.
This declaration is made after God restores Israel. In the midst of rubble and destruction Obadiah prophecy over Israel, deliverance in Mount Zion for those who escape, a holy place, and Jacob shall posses their former possessions.
Today as we go into prayer, let our petition be for God to restore us to our rightful place in Him, let it be for God to enable us to escape rubble and destruction, and posses our former glory in Him!
Let us focus with all our might on a Holy God that restores, delivers, enables escape, and possession of our former glory!
