“…Yet For Us There Is But One God…”
“yet for us there is but one God, the Father, who is the source of all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things [that have been created], and we [believers exist and have life and have been redeemed] through Him.”
1 Corinthians 8:6 (Amp)
In today’s verse we land in the eighth chapter of First Corinthians and Apostle Paul is ministering because of people who ate the food of idols and because this was causing an offense to other Christians. So, to prevent division and to prevent a split among the the people, Apostle Paul reminds the people of God’s divine purpose, scripture says, yet for us there is but one God, the Father, who is the source of all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things [that have been created], and we [believers exist and have life and have been redeemed] through Him.
In the backdrop of all the protest and everything that has transpired in our nation these last few weeks, it is imperative that God grant us the grace to fulfill His divine purpose! So as we take a moment in our prayers today, let us pray for God’s grace and for the fulfillment of His divine purpose in our lives. Let us pray that we be enabled to honor and recognize that we exist for God and that we are redeemed through Jesus Christ.
Let us live and declare, yet for us there is but One God!
