“…Who Gave Himself…”

“who gave Himself [as a sacrifice to atone] for our sins [to save and sanctify us] so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father— “Galatians 1:4 (Amp)

Today we land in the book of Galatians, Apostle Paul is ministering to the church about salvation and about grace, so in our verse he tells us that Christ gave Himself as a sacrifice to atone for our sins, to save us and sanctify us, so He might rescue us from evil, the scripture says, who gave Himself [as a sacrifice to atone] for our sins [to save and sanctify us] so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father—

Today as we take a moment in our prayers, as we reflect on what God has done for us in advance, so that our sins are atoned, so that we are saved and sanctified, so that we are rescued from this evil world, because this is God’s will, purpose, and plan.

Let us be enabled to rejoice in thankfulness for what God has done. Let us take a moment in our prayers and honor God for His sacrifice, for His atoning of sins, for His salvation, sanctification, and rescue, because this is God’s will, this is God’s purpose and plan, who gave Himself!
