“…Windy and Vain Knowledge…”
“Should a wise man [such as you] utter such windy and vain knowledge [as we have just heard] And fill himself with the east wind [of withering, parching, and violent accusations]?” Job 15:2 (Amp)
In today’s verse we experience another portion of Job’s testimony as his close friend Eliphaz rebuke him for expressing the depths of his agony.
Job is experiencing something no human being has ever been through, and it seems that every aspect of his person is being tested.
In this instance his friend charges him for empty words, in a different bible translation he’s a windbag for expressing his agony.
Today let’s take a moment, let’s pray to be grateful and thankful to God in the hardest times, even when it seems all is lost and everyone has turned away.
Let’s ask for God’s strength in prayer, so if we do reflect on great turmoil, may the Lord have mercy on our souls!
