“…You Shall Have A Holy [Summoned] Assembly…”
“Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy [summoned] assembly [for the Day of Atonement]; and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work.” Numbers 29:7 (AMP)
Today as we continue in the 4th book of the Pentateuch, we come to learn more about God ministering through Moses regarding a holy [summoned] assembly, the scripture says, ‘Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy [summoned] assembly [for the Day of Atonement]; and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work.
Today we get a glimpse of the Lord God ministering on the sacred feast in the ancient Hebrew culture, this chapter tells us, you shall have a holy [summoned] assembly as captured in the Amplified Bible. Today, as we take a moment in prayer let us reach for a holy [summoned] assembly [for the Day of Atonement].
The Lord reminds us of the sacrifices made, and as we recently celebrated Resurrection Sunday, and as we move into Pentecost Sunday, let’s be mindful of all it cost Christ Jesus on the cross, for us to be free of sin, guilt, and shame and made in right standing with God. Let’s take full advantage of Christ’s finished work on the cross and allow God to cause us to have a holy [summoned] assembly!
