“..It Is [Only] Eleven Days’ Journey…”
“It is [only] eleven days’ journey from Horeb (Mount Sinai) by way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea [on Canaan’s border; yet Israel wandered in the wilderness for forty years before crossing the border and entering Canaan, the promised land].” Deuteronomy 1:2 (AMP)
Today we enter the fifth book of the Pentateuch, Deuteronomy and as we start this sacred book it re-tells us about God’s law, it re-tells us about Israelite history and their journey, the scripture says, It is [only] eleven days’ journey from Horeb (Mount Sinai) by way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea [on Canaan’s border; yet Israel wandered in the wilderness for forty years before crossing the border and entering Canaan, the promised land].
Today as we take a moment in prayer, let’s be mindful that God has all the answers, all the solutions, all the guidance necessary to prevent a 40 year journey, which truly only takes eleven days.
It is said that the wise learn from mistakes, and those who are wiser, learn from other’s mistakes, let’s be the wise and the wiser. Let’s allow God to do what He’s designed and desired for our lives, because it is [only] eleven days’ journey!
