“…God Split Open The Hollow Place…”
“So God split open the hollow place that was at Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his spirit (strength) returned and he was revived. Therefore he named it En-hakkore (spring which is calling), which is at Lehi to this day.” Judges 15:19 (AMP)
Today we continue our journey through the book of Judges and we are introduced to Samson at a time when his father-in law gives his wife to his close companion, a time when he torches the Philistines fields and vineyards and they in vengeance kill his wife and her father. This feud continues and it finds Samson severely thirty to the point of death after the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and the bonds of rope dropped off his hands and he kills 1,000 men with a jawbone. This is where our verse leads us today, after he’s almost dying of thirst and after his plea to the Lord, the scripture says, So God split open the hollow place that was at Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his spirit (strength) returned and he was revived. Therefore he named it En-hakkore (spring which is calling), which is at Lehi to this day.
I love how the Lord shares with us about this account of scripture, today in our prayers be bold enough and wise enough to ask the Lord for a drink when you are thirsty, because the scripture says God split open the hollow place.
Today be encouraged in your prayers let the Lord split open the hollow place!
