“…May The God Of Israel Grant Your Petition…”
“Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of Him.” 1 Samuel 1:17 (AMP)
Today we are advancing into the first book of the Prophet Samuel, this book of the Old Testament scriptures starts with the story of Elkanah’s wife Hannah. We know this amazing account and story of the Bible, so today our verse leads us to a portion of her conversation with the High Priest Eli after she prayed and poured her heart out before the Lord, the scripture says, Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of Him.
Today we are encouraged in our prayers to know that the God of Israel desires for us to go in peace after our prayers, after we have poured out our hearts before the Lord, and the desire is that the God of Israel grants our petitions that we have asked Him.
Today as we take time in prayer we may have a laundry list of petitions, there are so many things to pray for and petition God for, but today God wants us to know that after we’ve prayed and after we have poured out our hearts He desires we go in peace, He desires to grant our petitions we have asked Him!
So today, let us not fail to ask Him, because may the God of Israel grant your petition!
