“…I Regret That I Made Saul King…”
“I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following Me and has not carried out My commands.” Samuel was angry [over Saul’s failure] and he cried out to the Lord all night.” 1 Samuel 15:11 (AMP)
Today God’s word leads us to meet King Saul who was appointed King over Israel by the Prophet Samuel through God. According to scripture King Saul was sent on a mission by God and he didn’t obey, because he feared the people and obeyed their voice, because of this our verse tells us today God said, “I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following Me and has not carried out My commands.” Samuel was angry [over Saul’s failure] and he cried out to the Lord all night.
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, may we slow down enough to follow God’s specific instructions, may our spirits be discerning so that we obey God and not become influenced by fear and the voice of the people!
Today let our prayers be divinely focused so that we can walk fully in God’s divine instructions, so that there is no regret and we turn not away from following God and carrying out God’s commands…Let it not be the Lord declaring over us, I regret that I made Saul king!
