“…Do Not Stay In The Stronghold…”
“Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not stay in the stronghold; leave, and go into the land of Judah.” So David left and went into the forest of Hereth.” 1 Samuel 22:5 (AMP)
Today we encounter a portion of the story of David and King Saul, through the Prophet Gad, the scripture tells us Gad spoke with David saying, Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not stay in the stronghold; leave, and go into the land of Judah.” So David left and went into the forest of Hereth.
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, it is imperative that we understand that we are in a time where it is essential we hear and receive guidance and direction from the Lord. In our verse today, the prophet Gad offers David sound instructions and guidance.
Today let’s be encouraged to pray and asks the Lord for sound guidance and instructions, not only for the difficult places in our lives but also and especially for the easy places we face, because as the scripture reminds us, Do not stay in the stronghold!
