“…Absalom Is King In Hebron…”
“But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet, you shall say, ‘Absalom is king in Hebron.’” 2 Samuel 15:10 (AMP)
Today we continue in the life of King David as we encounter his 3rd son Absalom, the commentary says he was the most handsome in the kingdom. Absalom would get up early and stand beside the road to the gate and was known to say, Oh, that I were appointed judge in the land, and after four years he stole the heart of the men of Israel, the scripture says, But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet, you shall say, Absalom is king in Hebron.
Today as we take a moment in our prayers let’s remember Absalom King David’s 3rd son, who caused his father to flee Jerusalem. Let’s be reminded that sometimes even our own children can be used by the enemy. Let’s be reminded to pray to seek God’s wisdom, guidance, and direction as we face circumstances and situations that declare, Absalom is king in Hebron!
