“…Why Does Your Heart Carry You Away…”
“Why does your heart carry you away [allowing you to be controlled by emotion]? And why do your eyes flash [in anger or contempt],” Job 15:12 (AMP)
Today we encounter Job’s friend Eliphaz the Temanite and he speaks to Job as the commentary shares more rude, intense, and threatening. He says Job presumes much, as Job sits in agony because of great lost and severe suffering. The scripture says, “Why does your heart carry you away [allowing you to be controlled by emotion]? And why do your eyes flash [in anger or contempt],
Today, we are humbled by the divine fact that God always knows so much more than we ever can or will know about all things, and today as Job friend Eliphaz ridicule and speak in a more rude, intense, and threatening manner, only God can deliver Job the suffering servant.
Today as we take a moment in prayer, let’s remember an all seeing, all knowing, always presents, all powerful God recognizes your circumstance, understands your situation, and is working things out for your good, so don’t let your heart carry you away by overpowering emotions and don’t allow your eyes to flash in anger or contempt, hide yourself in an almighty God, away from the question, why does your heart carry you away…
