“…Blessed [Fortunate, Prosperous, and Favored By God]…”
“Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).” Psalm 1:1 (AMP)
Today we move into the book of Psalms, a collection of hymns, praises, and prayers. The commentary shares it is an unlimitless source of hope and comfort. We thank God today for the book of Psalms, we thank God because, as the scripture says, Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, let’s ask God to help us to walk not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. Today let’s ask God to bless us so that we are, our families are, our churches are, our businesses, our nation is indeed fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God!
