“…My Heart Cries Out…”
“My heart cries out for Moab; His fugitives are [fleeing] as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the ascent of Luhith weeping; For on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of distress over their destruction.” Isaiah 15:5 (AMP)
Today the Lord shows us the plight and condition of Moab, as shared in the Prophet Isaiah’s message. The condition of Moab is so distraught Isaiah in our verse says, “My heart cries out for Moab; His fugitives are [fleeing] as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the ascent of Luhith weeping; For on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of distress over their destruction.”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, the Lord reminds us to pray for our enemies, for Moab. The commentary says they are the descendants of Lot and his older daughter, Israel’s enemy. The Moabites oppressed and invaded Israel’s land, they fought Saul and David and Moab would pay for treating Israel this way.
Today let’s be reminded that the fight is not our fight, it’s the Lord’s battle, the Lord encourages us to pray for our enemies, even to the point Our hearts cry out, as the Prophet Isaiah declares, my heart cries out!
