“…You Are Not Telling The Truth…”
“Azariah the son of Hoshaiah and Johanan the son of Kareah and all the proud and insolent men said to Jeremiah, “You are not telling the truth! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, ‘Do not go into Egypt to live there.’” Jeremiah 43:2 (AMP)
Today as we get to the end of the book of Jeremiah, the Lord reminds us of proud and insolent men, the scripture says, “Azariah the son of Hoshaiah and Johanan the son of Kareah and all the proud and insolent men said to Jeremiah, “You are not telling the truth! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, ‘Do not go into Egypt to live there.’”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, let us by grace recognize being proud, let us recognize being insolent, so that we do not declare, you are not telling the truth, so that we can recognize and discern the voice of God and God’s divine guidance and direction. Today the Lord shows us that being proud and insolent will cause us to miss God and cause us to say, you are not telling the truth!
