“…I Have Loved You…”
““I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say, “How and in what way have You loved us?” “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I loved Jacob (Israel);” Malachi 1:2 (AMP)
Today we enter the book of Malachi the very last book in our Old Testament scripture, today the prophet Malachi reminds us of just how far we can get from God, He reminds us that God says He loves us and we often respond with how and in what way? The Lord in this particular passage is talking about the children of Israel, but I believe if we check our heart of hearts He is also talking to us, our verse declares, “I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say, “How and in what way have You loved us?” “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I loved Jacob (Israel);”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, let’s be reminded of God’s great love for the children of Israel and God’s great love for us. Today let’s know that we are loved by God and let’s be intentional about reminding others of God’s love, because the Lord declares, I have loved you!
