“…For there is the Sound…”
“Now Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of the roar of an abundance of rain.” 1 Kings 18:41 (Amp)
Today’s devotional picks up with King Ahab and the Prophet Elijah, two powerful and influential men in Israel. One a king and the other a prophet of God. The nation has experienced several years of drought, several years without rain…and here the Prophet can hear the roar of an abundance of rain.
Let’s take a moment and reflect on a time when you suffered drought in your life, it may have been a lack of rain or a lack of resources or finances. Today let’s pray for the lack and then let us pray to hear the sound of God’s abundance of rain, that which ends lack, that which ends suffering.
Let’s pray for there is a sound!
