…The Guardian Of Hadassah…
“He was the guardian of Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had no father or mother. The young woman was beautiful of form and face; and when her father and mother died, Mordecai took her in as his own daughter.”
Esther 2:7 (Amp)
In today’s verse we learn about Mordecai, Queen Esther’s uncle her guardian. In this chapter her guardian walked back and forth in the courtyard, he sat at the kings gate to see how Esther was doing and he also stopped an attack on the king, this was reported by Queen Esther who scripture says, found favor and kindness with the king.
Today take a moment and reflect on our God given duty, let’s petition God to keep us vigilant, keep us watchful in what He has entrusted to us, an assignment of prayer and service, let us be as Mordecai, let’s be vigilant and watchful on the assignment of the Lord!
