…It Happened the Other Way Around…
“Now in the twelfth month ( that is, the month of Adar ) on the thirteenth day when the king’s command and edict were about to be executed, on the [very] day when the enemies of the Jews had hoped to gain power over them [and slaughter them], it happened the other way around so that the Jews themselves gained power over those who hated them.” Esther 9:1 (Amp)
The nature of the book of Esther is so dynamic, it could even be considered quaint because it’s the story of orphan girl who finds favor and kindness with a King. In today’s verse we learn how God used two common people to save a nation which included three profound days of prayer and fasting!
Today let’s take a moment and reflect on the obstacles and challenges we face that threaten total destruction of a nation of people, in this instance scripture calls it, the enemies of the Jews, today we petition God to do as He did in the book of Esther, let it be as scripture says, Let It happen the other way around!
