“…Clothe Yourselves With Sackcloth…”
“Clothe yourselves with sackcloth And lament (cry out in grief), O priests; Wail, O ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth [and pray without ceasing], O ministers of my God, For the grain offering and the drink offering Are withheld from the house of your God.” Joel 1:13 (Amp)
In today’s verse after years of devastation, we find a declaration for God’s chosen people, as scripture states, Clothe yourselves with sackcloth And lament (cry out in grief), O priests; Wail, O ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth [and pray without ceasing], O ministers of my God, For the grain offering and the drink offering Are withheld from the house of your God.
Today’s level of devastation has never been seen before, we have experienced hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes and more.
Today in our prayers, let our petitions be sensitive to God’s nudging to spend time in Him, Praying without ceasing. We need our devastations to end, we need our grain offering and our drink offerings to flow in abundance from the house of our God!
Let our hearts be attentive to minister and spend the night in prayer, praying without ceasing!
