“…Get Up And Go Into Damascus…”
“And I asked, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord answered me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus. There you will be told all that is appointed and destined for you to do.’” Acts 22:10 (Amp)
Today as we continue through the book of Acts, we find Saul’s dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus. This is a familiar passage, Saul is over taken by a blinding light, he falls from his horse, the Lord introduces Himself and then Saul ask as it says in today’s verse, And I asked, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord answered me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus. There you will be told all that is appointed and destined for you to do.’
Today as we take a moment in prayer, we see a divine encounter transpire for Saul on the road to Damascus. This encounter later leads to Saul becoming Apostle Paul who God used to write 28 percent of the New Testament.
One encounter leads to the salvation of one man, this one man goes on to lead many to Christ, even today!
Let us be mindful of how our lives can be used to become an instrument for God and for the lives of others. Let us continue in our prayers, let us continue, so that the Lord would allow us to get up and go into Damascus!
