“…We Do Not Know What Prayer To Offer…”

“In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.” Romans 8:26 (Amp)

Today we find ourselves in the eighth chapter of Romans, specifically the 26th verse, I encourage you through prayer to digest the entire chapter and eventually the entire book. In our verse we are introduced to the divine fact, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf, the scripture says, In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.

Today as we take a moment in our prayers, we now know that the Holy Spirit knows our needs and at the right time intercedes on our behalf. The words we couldn’t find to say, the understanding or knowledge of God we failed to have, the Holy Spirit steps up for us and covers the things we missed, it covers the things we are incapable to ask or pray!

Let’s take a moment and as we reflect on this divine fact, let’s pray our prayers to the best of our ability, let’s pray for others to the very best of our ability and let’s rest assured that God has provided His divine help who intercedes on our behalf, when we do not know what prayer to offer!
