“…So That The Genuineness of Your Faith…”
“so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:7 (Amp)
Today we are in the book of 1 Peter, the commentary says purposed to offer encouragement to suffering Christians. This was during the time of the great persecution under Emperor Nero, many believers were being tortured and killed for their faith, the scripture says, so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Today as we go into our prayers, there is a sobriety and a humbleness that comes from knowing that the genuineness of our faith is tested, tested and purified by fire, that may result in our praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ!
Let us be in prayer so that at Jesus’s return God grants us praise, glory, and honor for the perfecting and testing of our faith, a faith that doesn’t tarnish, a faith that is much more precious than gold, a faith genuine, tested, and purified by fire!
Let us live a life, so that God reveals the genuineness of our faith!
