“… I am The Alpha and the Omega…”
“I am the Alpha and the Omega [the Beginning and the End],” says the Lord God, “Who is [existing forever] and Who was [continually existing in the past] and Who is to come, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all].” Revelations 1:8 (Amp)
Today we move into the book of Revelations, a book according to the commentary written in apocalyptic form or symbolic imagery designed to communicate the full identity of Christ and to give hope and warning to believers. Revelations is a book that many fear and struggle to embrace and understand, but we can through faith and the Holy Spirit knowing God said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega [the Beginning and the End],” says the Lord God, “Who is [existing forever] and Who was [continually existing in the past] and Who is to come, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all].”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, let’s be reminded that God is our beginning and our ending, the first and the last. If we can ponder the idea that God was present before our existence and that He is very present now, we would know and understand that our very thoughts of praise and worship honors Him, our every petition is of great interest and concern to an omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent God. He is our Alpha and Omega, He is the epitome of who we are because we were created in His image and likeness and He is the epitome of who we strive to be like!
Today let us rejoice, let us praise and honor God, because in all His might, in all His glory, He thought enough of us to reveal Himself in us, through us, by us, and for us as, I am the Alpha and the Omega!
