“…Beloved, Do Not Imitate…”
“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but [imitate] what is good. The one who practices good [exhibiting godly character, moral courage and personal integrity] is of God; the one who practices [or permits or tolerates] evil has not seen God [he has no personal experience with Him and does not know Him at all].” 3 John 1:11 (AMP)
Today we are in the Third book of John and we are reminded to practice what honors God, the scripture declares “Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but [imitate] what is good. The one who practices good [exhibiting godly character, moral courage and personal integrity] is of God; the one who practices [or permits or tolerates] evil has not seen God [he has no personal experience with Him and does not know Him at all].”
Today as we take a moment in our prayers, we honor God because we know Him, we honor God because He uses our lives to practice good. The scripture commands that we do not imitate what is evil. Let us continue to stand in God, let us continue to stand in the things of God, because God’s word commands, beloved do not imitate!
